The Red Balloon Extended Care Program is an extension of the school program at St. Jerome Catholic School. Red Balloon provides before and after school care for students who are enrolled in St. Jerome Catholic School, all of whom are eligible to attend Red Balloon. It may be used on a regular basis or a drop-in basis. On days when there is no school there is no Red Balloon. The fee to participate in Red Balloon Extended Care Program is in addition to School Registration, Tuition, and other program fees.
MORNING & AFTERNOON RED BALLOON CARE
Red Balloon opens at 6:30 a.m. Students attending Red Balloon before school must be brought to Red Balloon and signed in by a adult. All students in Red Balloon will be signed out at 8:05 a.m. and escorted to morning assembly by a staff member.
Kindergarteners are escorted to Red Balloon at their dismissal time and signed in by a staff member. Students in grades 1-8 are responsible for signing into Red Balloon immediately after dismissal or after a school sponsored activity.
The first hour in the afternoon is dedicated to homework. Outdoor recreation, indoor games, arts and crafts and sewing are all different activities in Red Balloon. At 4:45 p.m. daily Red Balloon provides a snack.
FEES
The fee for attending Red Balloon is $4.50 per hour. Additional children in the same family will be charged $4.00 per hour per child. A minimum of one hour per day will be charged for any portion of the first hour. After the first hour, fees will be charged by the half hour.
