Welcome to Fifth Grade!
About Laura O’Donnell
My name is Laura O’Donnell and I am the Fifth Grade teacher at St. Jerome Catholic School. I feel truly blessed to be a part of the St. Jerome Catholic School community. From my first day, I felt very welcome, included and supported. I grew up here in the Bay Area attending Catholic Schools at the elementary through university levels. I earned a B.A. in English from the University of San Francisco. I worked as a litigation paralegal for approximately 12 years and took graduate courses in English Literature. Eventually I took a few years off from work to spend time with my children. During that time, as I became involved in their education, my own interest in pursuing a career in education grew. In 2008, I earned my Multiple Subject Teaching Credential from California State University, East Bay. I am currently a Participating Teacher in the Beginning Teacher Support and Assessment Program through Contra Costa County Office of Education. Although I have taught different grade levels in both the Alameda and Oakland Unified School districts, I am delighted to teach in the Oakland Diocese that educated me and continue the cycle of Catholic education in my life and family.
